2021 Essex County, NJ Leaf pick up schedule
As fall comes in; Leaf Pickup is in full effect! For those Essex county residents here is the 2021 Fall Leaf pick up schedule.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ Officials have just released Essex County's leaf collection schedule for 2021! If you are a resident of Essex County then I am sure that you will have tons of leaves to discard before the winter hits.
Residents can place their leaves in biodegradable bags, or sweep the loose leaves into piles at the curb and the city will pick up.
Essex county has placed its towns into 4 sections in order to facilitate a smooth pick up for everyone.
- Section I: (Cedar Grove, Millburn and West Orange) Monday, October 18th to Saturday, October 23rd; Monday, November 15th to Saturday, November 20th; and Sunday, December 19th to Friday, December 24th.
- Section II: (South Orange and Maplewood) Monday, October 25th to Saturday, October 30th; Monday, November 22nd to Saturday, November 27th; and Monday, December 13th to Saturday, December 18th.
- Section III: (Belleville and East Orange) Monday, November 1st to Saturday, November 6th; Monday, November 29th to Saturday, December 4th; and Monday, January 3, 2022, to Friday, January 7, 2022 (The last pick up will be made only if it is needed).
- Section IV: (Irvington, Newark and Orange) Monday, November 8th to Saturday, November 13th; Monday, December 6th to Saturday, December 11th; and Sunday, January 9, 2022 to Friday, January 14, 2022 (The last pick up will be made only if it is needed).
If you reside in any of these towns; Bloomfield, Caldwell, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Glen Ridge, Livingston, Montclair, North Caldwell, Nutley, Roseland, Verona and West Caldwell then your individual municipality has made an arrangement for pick ups and you will have to check with your township for further details.
Be sure to have your leaves placed in the proper location so that the workers can easily access and discard. May be a good idea to keep your vehicles off the street during pick up dates so there is nothing to interfere with the work.
